Following graduation I moved home to Belfast to complete my foundation training year in Belfast within a mixed NHS/private environment.
Here I acquired a strong understanding in all aspects of general dentistry with particular focus on periodontics, extractions, endodontics and emergency dental care. Subsequently, I practiced at two different clinics, offering high quality dental care to both NHS and private patients.
Training
My undergraduate at Newcastle provided me with a strong foundation, which has been supplemented by additional courses in oral surgery, composites and endodontics. I am currently undertaking a full time Dental Core Training post in Oral Surgery, Restorative and Paediatrics at the prestigious King’s College London.
Charities
Previously volunteering for an outreach program called Brush Up, I was able to make a difference in the oral health of children in deprived areas by promoting improved oral hygiene and delivering diet advice.
Outside of work
I am a keen snowboarder and have previously relocated to both Japan and Canada to allow me easy access to the slopes on a daily basis. I enjoy playing hockey in my free time having played in numerous teams over my lifetime, ranging from social to international level.
I also enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
