I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2016, then completed Dental Foundation Training under a dentist with an IMOS (Intermediate Minor Oral Surgery Services) contract, gaining an understanding of Level 2 treatment.
I progressed through Dental Core Training Years 1 and 2 in Maxillofacial Surgery, gaining experience managing emergencies and inpatient care in a hospital setting. I also worked as an associate dentist, receiving in-house referrals for oral surgery cases.
Having completed Year 3 in oral surgery, travelling between 4 sites, I became more proficient at third molar surgery. After this year, as Clinical Fellow in Head and Neck Oncology, I was part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritising tasks for cancer patients.
Due to COVID-19, I was temporarily redeployed to highly demanding medical wards and integrated well within varying specialties demonstrating my flexibility and resilience. I then completed a year as a Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery at King’s College Hospital, where I performed independent IV sedation and local anaesthetic lists for complex surgical treatment, and was a clinical tutor for 5th year dental students and Dental Core Trainees.
I am now Level 2 IMOS accredited in London and currently undertaking a Specialist Registrar post at the Eastman Dental Hospital, to be a GDC registered Oral Surgery Specialist on completion.
Training
I graduated from Dentistry at King’s College London in 2016 and I am now completing Oral Surgery Specialist Training at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Having undergone structured training, I am now delighted to be able to offer the full breadth of oral surgery.
I am also proud of the fact that this specialty produces well-rounded clinicians, as it demands a holistic approach prior to performing a surgical intervention and therefore I feel confident in providing optimal care for my patients.
Knowledge and skills
My special interest in oral surgery grew on me when I was first exposed to it at dental school. I was drawn in by the hands-on aspect and ability to alleviate a patient’s pain through immediate results.
I have experience in teaching and supervising both undergraduate and post-graduate dentists in Oral Surgery and Acute Dental Care. I have published a systematic review of oro-antral fistulae in conjunction with functional endoscopic sinus surgery in the Oral Surgery Journal and produced an evidence-based protocol on the management of oro-antral communication.

Awards
I won the 2021 Medic Mentor National Presentation Prize, involving a video detailing why should medical students and junior doctors consider training in your chosen speciality.
I have been appointed as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Barts through the work I am doing with an initiative entitled EQUIP mentors, established with their Afro-Caribbean Society. This is to equip medical and dental students with the tools they need to build a successful career. I attend study days, lead teaching and mentor a 4th year dental student, which has been very rewarding.

Outside of work
Outside of dentistry, I am an avid keyboardist, have trained in Muay Thai for 6 years and I completed Tough Mudder in 2022. I am a self-taught proficient photo and video editor, using Adobe software.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and keeping active through activities such as swimming, attending the gym, long walks and travelling.
