I have been an associate dentist in the private sector. The main types of dentistry I’ve performed are general and restorative dentistry.

Notable experiences include daily diagnoses and treatment planning, intraoral and extraoral examinations, periodontal evaluation, composite fillings, root canal treatments, tooth extractions, full and partial dentures and modifications, teeth whitening and emergency services.

Training

I completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, where I practised the entire field of general dentistry.

I carried out patient consultations with excellent communication in English and Spanish. This involved comprehensive anamnesis, intra-oral and extra-oral investigations with radiography including digital radiographs such as CBCT, OPG and other various types of investigation procedures.

In addition I also carried out tests to diagnose and develop suitable treatment plans.

I chose my final year research to be in an area that I believe could benefit many patients in the future. This is “The use of probiotics as a complementary treatment in patients suffering from periodontitis”.

Awards

I practiced dentistry for three years in the SOS Dental Clinic in Valencia, a dental clinic that treats specific patients who do not have the financial resources to receive treatment.

Gained expertise in dental trauma, extractions and fillings during my time there.

I volunteered in a Spanish Red Cross clinic that is specialised in dental care for patients with incapacitating disorders.

Outside of work

I love to explore new cultures and learn from them.

There is nothing like a good yoga session or a good book to disconnect.
